"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed"

Psalm 34v18

So what does R.U.T.H. do?

R.U.T.H. aims to be a support and a friend to people, regardless of where they are, should that be on the streets, in hostels, in their homes, in hospital or in prison. Being practical and not judging, reaching in to their world, their pain, their situation. Expressing to them that we are willing to go where they are, not where they think they should be or where they would prefer to be. Giving them food, clothing, a sleeping bag, toiletries, and giving them the distraction from ‘their world’ by taking them to football, for a meal, a table quiz etc. Listening to them, offering advice. Pointing them to the professionals. Coming alongside them as they search biblical truths that apply to their personal lives and situations.

R.U.T.H. Mission Statement

  • R.U.T.H. is a cross community and inclusive organisation offering friendship, practical support, assistance and guidance to “hurting” people in their area of need (ie. homelessness/addictions/mental health issues, etc).
  • R.U.T.H.’s aims and objectives are to encourage self-worth and assist in problem solving.
  • R.U.T.H. aims to ignite and inspire hope in individuals as well as, with biblical principles, empowering them to explore their spiritual needs.
